"I bid for the car on E-Bay and was the winning bidder. Scared me to death. Now how to get it from Clovis, New Mexico to Atlanta Ga. We got the grand girls out of school, hooked the car dolly to our class C motor home, filled some bags with sand for weight on the dolly, let most of the air out of it's tires and headed west. What a beautiful sight to see on our arrival. Loaded It on the dolly and made it to KOA in Lubback Tx where we drew a crowd to look the 57 over and do some reminiscing back to their (and our) younger days. In 1959 I bought my first car, a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500, Red and White Convertible. Dumb mistake to ever let that one get away. Wife said we needed a family car....not a p***y wagon. We made it home with no problems and lots of honks and thumbs up from passing cars. It has 312 v8 4bbl auto. I am in the process of installing front disc brakes from a Granada. Factory Polar Air Cond't (May be dealer installed ??) Now has 104,000 miles. It's all original except for the headliner, seat upholstery and carpet. And....NO rust"
