Hey Linden. I was just cruising around and found your site. Pretty cool. I’ll be back when more time permits. In the mean time, find attached a couple shots of my 59 Skyliner. Full restoration, right hand drive conversion - ex Wisconsin car. Apart from looking on Ebay, does anyone make any good quality stainless repro fender skirts in the US for my 59? I see them advertised sometimes but hard to tell on the quality. Later…

Hello Linden, finally have some time to get back with you. Here's my story and take what you feel is important. As a kid my dad had a used car lot and I got to pick what ever I wanted to drive, that was cool, always had a different ride every week. I had 57 Chevs 58's and others. A cool 57 Sunliner rag top and another 59 rag top. The time came that dad had to move on to other things and the free ride ended and I never got a chance to have a Skyliner. Well the kids are gone and left home so I figured its my time to get what I want. It took 5 years to find the perfect car in near mint condition. This 59 I have was found in Seattle, second owner and was completely rust free and only had 80,000 miles on it. Well needless to say I paid the price and made her look as she is now from an all white plain Jane. After completion it took numerous awards and in 2004 she took best of show at the Ford Galaxie Nationals in Dearborn Michigan. She was also featured in the 2006 Smokin Autos calendar ( http://www.smokinautos.com ) in the November month and the calendars were sold at the Woodward Dream Cruise that year. The car has twin spots, factory air, cont kit, stealth remote CD-FM hidden in the luggage tub with custom made cover and has a fresh 390cu in installed. As we all know it turns head when you start moving the top up and down, people are completely perplexed to see it work. Well thanks for consideration for insertion in your web site and please visit our web at http://www.motorcitystreetrodders.com for more pictures of my 59 Skyliner.
Thanks,
Thanks Ken, I can relate to the 59 madness........its all good my friend........its all good. Congratulations on a stunning example, but more importantly.....Thanks for keeping her alive and well for many generations to enjoy!
