This picture of happiness belongs to Gwen and Darryl Fleury of Couborg Ontario

Their son Dion sent this in; Thanks for including me in your great website, its an honour to be mentioned. I have enclosed the picture of my Dad's 59 Meteor 300. He bought it for $2500 Cdn from a Little old lady who drove it on Sundays for ice cream (no joke I was there and met her myself). Thanks again: Dion Fleury

Great Stuff Dion........Thanks to you and your Dad for keeping these old beauties alive!

1959 Meteor Hardtop

"1959 Meteor Montcalm "
Would someone please tell me when they last saw a Montcalm hardtop in this condition!

Phil and Kathy MacDonald mailto:macdonpk@cadvision.comof Calgary are the proud new parents of this RARE Beauty Queen;
I have taken the liberty of including a recent pic of our 1959 Montcalm that was taken last wekend in the Canadian Rockies about 5 hours northeast of Spokane, Washington and about 10 minutes east of the border of the Canadian provinces of British Columpia and Alberta. The mountain in the background is Crowsnest Mountain and we are about 15 minutes west of a popular Historical location known as the Frank Slide, where a rock slide came down the mountain in 1902 and burried approx 1/2 of the town of Frank, killing almost 1/4 of it's residents.
thanks for the new photo and great historic story guys!

This Classic Canadian Cruiser belonged to Fred Morton of Oshawa Ontario. This one has the 352 V-8, Cruisomatic, W.W.W., Cont. Kit, Spots, Lake Pipes and Stainless Skirts. The Meteor was exclusively a Canadian car with a few subtle changes from the Ford, mostly in the trim and grille treatment. The '59 hardtops are getting scarcer all the time so its a real treat to see a Meteor, especially with the treatment that this one has. She now resides in Massachusetts, Fred traded her off for a '56 Crown. A Fine Job Fred, a true Beauty Queen, I hope she's gone to a good home!
* NOTE; This car, although described as a Meteor, does not have the Meteor hood badge or the lower stainless band on the upper rear quarters that were so indicative of the Meteors' styling. In fact the car looks like a Galaxie with a Meteor grille and Meteor chrome grille surround as an added modification.....hmmmmmnnn.
