This rolling beauty of the fifties belongs to Tim Conroy of Mountain Home Arkansas.

HI LINDEN  THIS  MY PRIDE AND JOY AND IS THE 3 RD. 59 SKYLINER I HAVE HAD  IN THE LAST 25 YEARS .THIS ONE I FOUND IN A AUTO MUSUAM  IN CA. ABOUT  4 1/2  YEARS AGO  AND IT HAD BEEN ON DESPLAY  THERE FOR 19 YEARS  AND EXCEPT FOR BEING MADE A RED& WHIT TWO TONE  IT IS ALL FACTORY STOCK AND ONLY HAD 33000 MILES ON HER WHEN I BOUGHT IT . THE ONLY TROUBLE  WITH IT WAS THE RED PAINT THEY USED WAS NOT  59 FORD TORCH RED  BUT WAS FROM A 58  FORD !!  LOL  NOW  I COULD NOT TELL THIS BY LOOKING BECAUSE IT WAS VERY SHARP AND UNTEL I TOOK IT TO A RECTABLE CLUB SHOW IN  CHATNAOGA  TN. AND SAW IT WAS NOT THE SAME AS THE OTHER 59'S  I WAS HAPPY WITH IT . LOL
 WELL THE FIRST THING I DID WHEN I GOT BACK HOME  WAS TAKE IT TO A PAINT AND BODY SHOP AND HAD HER STRIPEDE ALL THE WAY DOWN AND CLEAR COAT AND CLEAR BASE  PUT ON .  THANKS TO YOU LINDEN I WAS ABLE TO GET THE DUPONT  TORCH RED  CODE  FOR THEM ..

Thank You Tim, for keeping this old girl alive and well!

"Madeline"

This is one of the finest examples of a '59 Skyliner that you will ever see. This breathtaking beauty resides in Belle, West Virginia being the property of Tommy Clay. Tommy a perfectionist by nature, has gone throughout this car from front to back refining this machine to the stunning example that you see here. Congratulations Tom, a truly stunning automobile!

1959 Retractable Hardtop

"1959 Galaxie Skyliner Retractable."
Remember the beautiful '55 Bird from Dallas that Don Knightmailto:dwknight@flash.net owns? His loving wife CupCake owns this one;
After owning a couple of Model A's and a 55 Tbird for a couple of years Cupcake and I started thinking about what other cars did we like and the it didn't take long to decide on a Retractable. A buddy at work mentioned that he had a friend who had one of those "funny top cars" in Irving(ten miles from us). The car needed lots of TLC and some mechanical work but it was a very solid Skyliner and we bought it and drove it home. We have upgraded the air conditioning and are in the process of upgrading to a 390 engine with a C-6 transmission. We have driven the car to Indianapolis and to Bilouxi for conventions and it really turns heads. The Raven black with so much chrome is striking. When we travel with a group they always want us to lead as they can see that chrome for miles. Cupcake and I think this is our favorite car and will do most of our touring in the future in it. We have had many comments at car shows from "boomers" who say that they had forgotten how good looking the 59 Fords were.
Beautiful Ride CupCake.........So Classy

Bill Dixon of Ft. Lauderdale Fl. sent this in:
Just thought I would share with you my 59 Ford Fairlane Skyliner. I was looking for one and I heard rumors that there was one for sale an auto parts store in Sea Side Oregon. That was about 85 miles from where I lived in Lebanon Oregon. I found the store and saw the car. I bought it and drove it home. It has Factory Air, Town and Country radio. I love this car. It's a dream to drive. I don't see to many Fords this color.
Beautiful Car Bill, The Tahaitan Bronze and Fawn Tan were indeed a rare color combination......that makes your car just that much more Special!
